Nine Bahá’ís started serving their sentences in Birjand, South Khorasan Province. Bahman Salehi and Khalil Melaki, Bijan Ahmadi and Saghar Mohammadi were sentenced to four years’ imprisonment. Shiva Abedi was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment. Sohrab Melaki was sentenced to three and a half years’ imprisonment. Firouz Ahmadi, Simin Mohammadi and Maryam Mokhtari were sentenced to two years’ imprisonment.
