Molavi Abdul Hamid said during the Sunni Friday prayers in Zahedan that “the demands of the Sunnis are not beyond the law, they only demand their legal rights.”

The Sunni Friday Imam of Zahedan also said, “We expected President Rouhani to have at least one Sunni minister and one female minister in the cabinet.

If that happened, Iran would be praised by the international community.”

He added: “When there is no prohibition in the law for employing Sunnis as a minister, deputy minister, or director, why do the officials deny Sunnis the opportunity to serve?!”
