According to the Majzooban-e Noor website, security and intelligence forces first raided and searched the house and office of Reza Bonakdari, the manager of Reza Charity. They confiscated the charity’s documents and computers, and then sealed the doors of its buildings, including a senior nursing home, without notice. After that, the elderly residents of this nursing home, some of whom were not in good physical condition, were left homeless.

A few days later, a group of Gonabadi Dervishes staged a peaceful protest in front of the closed doors of Reza Charity. For about two decades, this charitable organization was active in providing care for indigent patients, senior citizens, and orphans.
