Ibrahim Habashi, a Sunni Imam of Friday Prayer in the village of Bazgar in Sirik, was released after enduring about eight months’ imprisonment. He was arrested by security forces at Bandar Abbas Airport in November 2018 while traveling to the UAE.

Sirik is one of the cities of Hormozgan province located in the south of Iran.
