He had been arrested during the clashes in Golestan-e Haftom in 2018 and was put on trial at the Revolutionary Court on charges of “congregation and collusion with intent to disrupt national security, acting against national security, disobeying law enforcement, and destroying public properties.” The Revolutionary Court sentenced him to 23 years’ imprisonment (which 7 years and 6 months of it is enforceable), 148 lashes, two years’ travel ban, and two years of internal exile.
