Asghar Koohi, a Sunni cleric, was released on bail from Zahedan Prison after enduring eight months in detention. He was arrested in December 2018 at the same time as Fazlur Rehman Koohi, arrested.

Mr. Koohi’s release was contingent on a bail pledge of 200 million toman. He is the Sunni Imam of Friday Prayer of Peshamag, in Sarbaz City.
