Amordad, a website covering news of Iran’s Zoroastrian community, reported that Arash Kasravi, a Zoroastrian Mobad, has been murdered along with two of his associates, who were not Zoroastrian. The bodies of the three men were found in Mahan, Kerman Province. Kasravi resided in the city of Kerman. Iranian authorities have indicated that the murder did not appear to be religiously motivated. Instead, they have pointed to theft as the motive. Esfandiar Ekhtiari, the Zoroastrian member of the Iranian parliament, has called for a thorough investigation of this incident.
