Abdul Ghaffar Dahani, a Sunni cleric, was released from prison in Zahedan at the end of his sentence. He was arrested by security forces in Saravan in late May 2019. He was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison.

Mr. Dahani was later sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison on charges of collaborating with an opposition group.
