Saeed Heydari, a citizen from Mahshahr, who converted from Shia to Sunni, was arrested.

A source told Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA): “Saeed Heydari, 35, son of Jarad, recently converted from Shia to Sunni, and this was the reason for his arrest.”

Such defendants are often charged with propaganda against the regime in the Iranian judicial system.

Saeed Heydari has been arrested at his home in the town of Taleghani (Koreh) near Mahshahr.
