Molavi Obaidullah Baluch, the imam of the mosque in the village of Yeke Tut in Behshahr, a city in Mazandaran Province, was arrested after being summoned by the Sari Special Clerical Court on Wednesday, December 16th.

Following the contact with his family, the cleric stated that the reason for his arrest was, according to officials, “insulting the Supreme Leader and supporting ISIS.”

This is the sixth Baluch Sunni cleric to be arrested in the past month.
