Rasoul Hamzehpour, a Sunni cleric, was released on bail from Urmia Prison on October 29, 2020. Mr. Hamzehpour was arrested on October 4, 2020 by security forces in Piranshahr, and at the conclusion of interrogations, he was transferred from the Urmia Intelligence Detention Center to Urmia Prison on October 25.

Mr. Hamzehpour, a Sunni cleric, was temporarily released from Urmia Prison on bail of 1 billion tomans until the end of the trial.
