On July 5, 2021, Mohammad Goharshenas, a Gonabadi Dervish living in the city of Eshtehard in Alborz province, was arrested by security forces in his workplace. According to IranWire, Goharshenas has been transferred to Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj to serve his two-year sentence. Following the nationwide protests of November 2019, Mohammad Goharshenas was arrested. He was held in the Ministry of Intelligence’s detention center in Karaj for about three months. There is no reporting on his charges and the details of his case.
